About Gregory D Searcy, MD
Gregory D. Searcy, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diagnosing and treating eye diseases, with a particular focus on refractive cataract surgery. Dr. Searcy has performed over 25,000 eye surgeries, with special emphasis on gentle “dropless” no-stitch cataract surgery, high-technology lens implantation such as the Light Adjustable Lens, and medical and surgical glaucoma management.
In recognition of his exceptional skills and dedication, Dr. Searcy was recognized as a Top Doctor by Columbus Monthly in 2023 and 2024, selected from over 400 Central Ohio physicians by their peers.
Dr. Searcy graduated from the Ohio State College of Medicine and completed several ophthalmic fellowships, including the C-LASIK Fellowship Program and two advanced research fellowships in diabetic eye disease at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. This work and his ongoing clinical research have been presented at national ophthalmic conferences and published in numerous professional journals.
Dr. Searcy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Ohio Ophthalmological Society, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Columbus Medical Association, the Columbus Eye Ear Nose and Throat Society, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
